We set-off from home and walked along the beach to Barmston then through fields and caravan parks to Ulrome. By the time we got to Ulrome it was very hot and sunny and a bus was due back to about a mile from where we live so we caught that. Unfortunately the camera batteries ran out half way along the walk and the spare ones had discharged as well -never mind it is a reminder of a really nice walk.

Bridlington seafront

Some ladies we meet almost everyday walking the dogs-the one on the left we passed as we walked home along the cycle track--she bought a bike last week and looked quite happy on that as well as all the walking along the beach twice a day.

These were to stop enemy tanks during the last war-they go for a long way along the coast-well they did but most of them are a long way from the coast now due to coastal erosion

A burger and coffee van found us at Fraisthorpe. A lot of the coast here has eroded in the last year but the car park and camp site belonging to the farm get lots of visitors all the year round.

Nice place for a coffee and sausage buns--well it was until we got invaded by wasps and walked along the beach instead eating and drinking

This shows some of the coastal erosion-where the sand is smooth is what has gone this last year

Looking back towards Bridlington and Flamborough Head

The coast has eroded so much at Barmston that the front rows of the caravans are going into the sea one by one. Now you have to walk through the caravan park to go along the coast when the tide is in. Lots of very large cracks are appearing again so I wouldn't want to be in the caravans nearest the edge.

This is where the batteries ran out so no more pictures of the day this time but I am sure we will go that way again.

Hope you enjoyed the walk.
