Make your own Slats

This was written in PSP 9 but should be almost the same in Psp 8 or earlier versions

You can chose any shape or tube you like

Open a canvas 500 x 500 transparent

If you are making the slat from a tube then copy and paste the tube as a new layer onto the canvas

This is the tube that I used

Click on the transparent part of the canvas with your magic wand then-selections -invert.

Add black to the foreground box of your material palette and with paintbrush tool on round 50 paint the inside of the selections

Adjust-sharpness then hit control key and Y to repeat the action

Now to add the slats.

With eraser tool on size 10 and using the grey and white squares to help you do straight lines-click with eraser tool somewhere along the outline of your image at the top. Hold down the shift key and look on the grid for the square that is corresponding at the bottom of your image- click with your eraser tool and it will make your first slat.

Continue to do this all the way across your image until you are happy.
Save as  psp image and use as a slat when ever you want to.

If you use shapes just make sure that you have black on both boxes of you material palette when you draw the shape--you do the erasing in the same way then.

The possibilities are endless use lots of shapes joined together-shapes and tubes joined -tubes joined whatever you like really. I am sure you will have some brilliant ideas
.
That's the tutorial done.

Hope you enjoy it.
