We decided we would have a walk to Sewerby Park as there was a covering of snow when we got up and it seemed that the trees and everything else would have taken on a new look with the snow. It wasn't long before the snow started again and this time it meant business. By the time we got back home a few hours later it was about 8 inches deep. It was a magical day though so no complaints even though we were very tired when we got back. Walking in the snow for 10 miles feels like walking anywhere else for 20 miles.

The next few pictures are Boyes's Christmas Windows

White out along the cliff top

Arrival at Sewerby and a welcome shelter to have some coffee from our flask--oh and a large chocolate muffin as well

The Band Stand

Father Christmas had stopped at Sewerby Park to feed his reindeer and he was looking for children but couldn't find any. We hardly saw anyone at all so he will have had a lonely day I reckon.

This used to be the Gate House I think but is now where someone lives and they are very bird friendly

A very friendly robin

This is our favourite tree in Sewerby and we usually give it a hug but didn't fancy standing under it with all the snow on the branches.

Sheep and Llamas in the field-well the sheep were the llamas stayed in the shelter.

A pheasant looking for something to eat

The beach all covered in snow and the cliff face with snow on it as well

Walking along the sea edge--the snow and sand were mixed as the sea was coming in--looked very unusual

A ramp that leads from the beach to the main road

Another picture going up the ramp

The Lion's Grotto in the shopping precinct.

The level of snow on the dustbins when we came back--there was none on them when we went out.

Hope you enjoyed the snowy walk
